SUMMARY:Gravitational Wave detection at the Moon
DESCRIPTION:It is well known that the Moon provides an exceptional low-nois
 e environment ideal for GW detection\, which is a great opportunity for br
 eakthrough science and to close the gap between the observation bands of L
 ISA and ground-based detectors. The challenge is to identify and realize f
 easible concepts for a first generation of lunar GW detectors\, which woul
 d set the stage for technologically more demanding concepts to be realized
  in subsequent lunar GW detector generations. It is evident that some leve
 l of interaction between the existing GW detector collaborations and the n
 ewly forming lunar GW detector collaborations must happen.\nOn October 14 
 and 15 2021\, the first international workshop dedicated to gravitational-
 wave astronomy from the Moon will be launched. It will commence a global e
 ffort for the development of revolutionary lunar gravitational-wave detect
 or technologies.
