SUMMARY:International School of Physics "Enrico Fermi”: Foundations of Co
 smic Ray Astrophysics
DESCRIPTION:The aim of the School is to advance knowledge about the current
  status of research in the field of Cosmic Ray Astrophysics\, with a focus
  on the interplay between cosmic particles\, gas\, magnetic fields\, and t
 heir role in star-formation and galaxy evolution. It will bring together e
 xperts on both theory and observations of cosmic rays and will contribute 
 to the growth of a community of young researchers that can boost this fiel
 d of investigation. The present quality of cosmic-ray\, gamma and neutrino
  data warrants a critical and constructive discussion of the cosmic-ray ph
 ysics. This is expected to improve in the upcoming future\, given the larg
 e efforts in current observational facilities\, with the aim of accessing 
 the answers to the open issues in the field.
